"I remember writing the lyrics while I was on break at the job I was working at the time. It was written about being in a relationship with a toxic partner. The kind of partner that literally sucks the life out of you, but you are under that person's spell of seduction, whether that seduction is lustful or not. I remember bringing it to then guitarist, Bobby Soto (stage name Voodoo Lou) and he helped bring the song together perfectly for that era of the band. I told him I wanted him to sing it because his Robert Palmer style vocals felt right for the song at the time (Bobby and I shared the lead vocal duties during the 2007/2008 era of the band). After that line-up split apart, I decided to update the song slightly to fit my vocals and to make it heavier."
